Calm is not the Goal

Often when faced with our children’s outbursts our first reaction is to get them to stop. We want calm but calm is not the goal and our pursuit of it often leaves our children feeling misunderstood and feeling the need to amp it louder to press their point. That’s pretty confronting and leaves us wondering what to do.
